Job Description

JOB OVERVIEW:

Material Handlers perform necessary handling of materials at both the beginning and end of the production process.

SHIFTS AVAILABLE:

4-3 Schedule 12 hr days

WHAT YOU GET TO DO AS A MATERIAL HANDLER:Receive materials and unload using forklift equipment, following the 1st In/1st Out system and move to proper locationsVerify accuracy of paperwork vs. received material and enter and allocate into the MRP system (SAP)Verify acceptance of material by QA via certification and document appropriatelyProvide documentation of material delivery to appropriate departmentsMove to stock machines (substrates) and return rolls and materials to storageMove finished goods to labelling area and complete labellingPlace materials into appropriate racks and document locations on slitter ticketsMaintain location systemComplete staging and shipping tasks including pulling orders, move to staging area, checking orders and loading trucksAssist if needed in inventory of raw materials monthly (this may involve working odd hours) and involvement in recountsFollow all safety policies and practicesConduct cycle counts and other miscellaneous tasks as requiredWHAT WE WANT FROM YOU:

2+ years of experience operating a forklift (preferably stand-up lift) preferredBasic knowledge of truck capacities, warehouse flow and production process environment (FIFO) location system knowledge preferredBasic mechanical abilitySolid communication and teamwork skillsWilling and able to work a flexible schedule of up to 12-hour shiftsWHAT WE VALUE:
