Responsible for meeting or exceeding assigned sales/loan growth goals by building, developing, and managing new and existing relationships with banking customers. Job Duties: 1. Builds, develops, and maintains profitable lending and deposit relationships with new and existing customers. Consults with customers and prospects at their places of business in order to understand their current business practices and identify their financial goals and needs. More than 80% of time spent in this function. 2. Contributes to the growth of a profitable loan portfolio by originating applications for all types of commercial loans. Gathers, analyzes and discusses credit and financial information for determination of credit quality and appropriateness of bank products and services at prospects or customers places of business. 3. Proactively deepens customer relationships by meeting their needs through additional products and services. Actively refers clients to other bank areas for additional needs. 4. Represents the bank at various civic and community functions to further enhance the banks image and develop additional business opportunities and centers of influence. 5. Proven history of meeting/exceeding business objectives. Arranges and conducts joint outside sales calls with team lead at prospects or customers places of business. Organization: Organize, manage and execute basic functions for a pleasant and functional working environment within the Commercial Loan department. Recommend and initiate changes in current procedures to accomplish objectives needed for better productivity. Compliance: The employee has the responsibility to acquire knowledge of State and Federal banking regulations and policies and those regulations and policies inherent to position requirements. Job Requirements: 1. Five or more years of experience in commercial lending or other job related experience. 2. Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field. 3. Demonstrated business development skills calling program on current and prospective clients. 4. Knowledge of bank lending procedures and adherence to Loan Policy. 5. Ability to properly structure/document credit requests. 6. Working knowledge of bank products and services. 7. Proven analytical skills; ability to review and interpret complex data (determining risk, assessing complexity of accounts, etc.). 8. Proficient written and verbal communication skills; ability to analyze, synthesize and articulate complex ideas and communicate such to colleagues, team members, and clients. 9. Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to interact/collaborate with diverse groups of people, negotiating for results and developing working relationships with potential and current clients. 10. Ability to set and achieve challenging goals.
