Summary:The Sales Account Manager - Military will be working as part of the Powders team; you will assume day-to-day management of Military accounts within the Luxfer Magtech business sector. The main purpose of the role is to maintain and grow the sales volume, revenue and profit of defined accounts by working closely with the sales, technical, manufacturing and supply chain teams. You will be expected to bring a positive approach and be prepared to travel extensively within the U.S. with occasional international travel. Great base pay + yearly bonus potential + phone allowance! Travel is 30 - 50%. Job Training for a few weeks on site to learn the technology!
Main responsibilities:
Manage the business relationship with both established and prospective accounts as well as end-usersConduct regular meetings through site visits, tradeshows, and industry association meetings to facilitate growthUnderstand and interpret technical requirements, recommend products and negotiate commercial terms (price, volume, payment, delivery terms) in line with business targetsProvide accurate monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts based on customers' projections and understanding of customers' products and trends in end markets and applicationsAchieve financial targets in line with the company's budgetAccountable for pricing implementation, handling customer complaints and compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations and Defense Federal Acquisition RegulationsUtilize Salesforce CRM to manage and track leads and opportunitiesCoordinate and communicate with Customer Service, Production, Supply Chain (e.g. S&OP) and other departments such as Quality, Research & Development and AccountingAssist Accounts Receivable in collecting past due payments as neededOther duties as assigned

Must have the ability to use own initiative, prioritize tasks and work well under pressure, and be driven by achievementMust be detail-oriented, show insight and strategic focusTime Management and leadership skillsProfessional approach to work and in dealing with internal and external customersTeam player who demonstrates a high level of commitment, adopts a flexible and positive approachMust have the ability to work unsupervised with good time management skills to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, high pressure and challenging environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in chemistry, engineering, or related fieldExperience in government contracting requiredPrevious Program Management or Project Management Experience PreferredExcellent interpersonal skillsExperience using Salesforce.com, MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams and PowerPoint
