Job Title:Supply Chain Automation Coordinator - Supply Chain

Job Summary:Position provides support for mobile and point of use automation activities in Supply Chain.

Education & Experience

Associates degree in business, operations management, or related field and two (2) years of related experience or equivalent combination of education/experience. Working knowledge of Supply Chain ERP or MMIS Systems. Familiarity with inventory and PAR Level Systems/Methodologies.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of healthcare supply chain management preferred. Knowledge of medical equipment, and supplies utilized in patient care settings preferred. Knowledge of logistics methodologies to include bulk warehousing and low unit of measure. Skill in the use of personal computers and related software applications to include ERP inventory management, mobile supply chain applications and point of use systems. Oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of clinical staff. Understanding of par level replenishment, cycle counting, inventory forecasting and schematic layouts of par and inventory areas.

Responsibilities

Assists in the setup, maintenance and support of various point of use and mobile applications within the logistics area to support supply chain operations and patient care activities.Acts as a subject matter expert and support mechanism for supply chain and other staff utilizing point of use and mobile systems for inventory and supplyResponsible for setting up new clinical areas with the appropriate technology (point of use, mobile applications) as identified by management.Participates in various teams related to ERP Enhancements, lean supply chain improvements, product/supply conversions, par level forecasting, etc. As directed by management.Acts as a liaison between UMMC and vendors that provide supply chain automation and systems for support, questions, enhancements or other issues. Serves as a point of contact for vendors with the organization.Supports the daily cycle count process in perpetual inventory areas as needed through mobile technology and the organizational ERP/MMIS System.Collaborates with supply chain data management team and other internal customers to create integrity, synergy and consistency between all systems and processes.Work with nursing department leaders to ensure correct products are being maintained in point of use systems and quantities are updated to maintain adequate supplies. This will include creating, running, and putting reports in an understandable format for nursing department leaders. The review of items will need to take place at a minimum of 2 times per year.Work with Supply Chain personnel to ensure a smooth transition for new items being added along with supply conversions. This will include ensuring that all new items and conversions are added to the point of use system in a timely manner to support the add or conversion.The duties listed are general in nature and are examples of the duties and responsibilities performed and are not meant to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive.
