On behalf of our client, Procom Services is searching for a Sr Network/Voice Engineer for a 6 months contract to hire opportunity in Irving, TX. Sr Network/Voice Engineer Job Details The Network Engineer team is responsible for supporting the corporate network environment consisting of 35+ sites including multiple data center facilities. Builds, maintains, and sustains new and existing networks. Support may extend from testing, troubleshooting problems, and regular maintenance to strategic planning of network upgrades and high-level performance analyses. This particular opportunity requires someone with a focus on the telecom/voice side of the network. You will be the go-to person for telecom/voice issues and play a key role in developing a strategy for telecom/voice integrations, upgrades, and maintenance. Essential Responsibilities include: Setting up security policies (firewalls and intrusion detection systems). Monitoring, alerting, logging, and error checking of LAN/WAN & telecom devices. Administering network workstations to utilize protocols such as TCP/IP. Setting up new networks connecting to existing ones using routers. Configuring UUCP communications for file exchange. Troubleshooting network problems. Managing ACD/PBX systems, call recording, carrier procurement, and troubleshooting. Coordinating replacement of failed components with vendors. Ensuring network and telecom recoverability. Applying hotfixes and security patches. Handling cabling and equipment rack/stacks. Developing and implementing technical testing and test plans. Overseeing the development and maintenance of the IT strategic plan. Coordinating priorities across IT and user departments. Monitoring major projects, budgets, standards, and overall IT performance. Collaborating with vendors and support teams for problem resolution. Communicating with management and clients to identify needs and solutions. Qualifications include: Strong experience with voice/telecom systems (ShoreTel preferred, Toshiba advantageous). 8+ years in Digital, VoIP PBX, and communication technologies. 5+ years in ACD Systems. 7+ years Cisco experience. 3+ years S.I.P Trunking experience. Proven MAC experience. Call Center experience. Additional required experience: Expertise in VLAN, SVLAN, IP subnetting. Understanding of voice/telecom tech including unified communication. Knowledge of Auto Call Distribution software. Expertise in DNS. Broad infrastructure knowledge (firewall, network, storage, desktop, mobile). Ability to self-resolve and research technical issues. Proficiency with office tools. Knowledge of emerging technical trends. Strong project management skills. Excellent communication skills. This role requires at least 5 years of relevant experience. A CCNA is required at minimum, with a preference for CCNP. A Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field is highly preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr
