Sanford Pride Elementary School is seeking a dynamic educational technician III to join our team. This position is for our special education resource room and will serve primary grade levels.
Job Goal: To assist the teacher in achieving academic and social emotional teaching objectives by working with individual students, or small groups, to support student growth that pertains to IEP goals.
Responsibilities: Review and reinforce learning previously introduced by the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist, or assist in drill or practice activities; Introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher or appropriate content specialist; Perform non-instructional, non evaluative functions; Assist in preparation of instructional materials; Provide classroom management functions including active supervision and behavior intervention as needed including data collection; Build positive relationships with students, staff and families. Reports to: Assigned Teacher & Building Administration
Sanford Pride is a PreK - Grade 4 school located in the heart of Sanford, Maine. In addition to district curriculum and programs, our school has a service dog program that serves all students and adults. Our community also has a greenhouse and an outdoor classroom. We believe these resources provide students with real-world opportunities such as being good stewards of their community.
