Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to develop satellite electrical power subsystems. The ideal candidate will have strong aerospace experience and engineering skills to contribute to our innovative projects.
Location
This position can be based at multiple sites across the US, with preferred locations in Merritt Island, FL; Denver, CO; or Arlington, VA.

Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and oversee production of power system components, primarily batteries, with secondary focus on solar arrays and power distribution equipment.
- Lead technical reviews, manage suppliers, and ensure component compatibility with mission environments.
- Support requirements development and lifecycle management, emphasizing cost, manufacturability, and testability.
- Participate in cross-functional planning and integration activities.
Additional Responsibilities
- Support subsystem architecture trade studies and requirements development.
- Assist in make-vs-buy decisions and supplier selection processes.
- Provide engineering support during integration and testing activities at Merritt Island, FL.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, chemical, aerospace engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
- Minimum 8 years (Bachelor’s) or 6 years (Master’s) of relevant aerospace hardware experience.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency with MATLAB, Python, LTspice/PSpice, Jira, Microsoft 365; Altium is a plus.
- Understanding of parts qualification, radiation effects, and space environmental factors.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and initiative skills.
Travel and Clearance
- Periodic travel to Airbus facilities and partners, up to 50% as needed.
- US citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance; active clearance preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to see, hear, operate equipment, carry/lift up to 40 lbs, and work in various physical conditions.
