Role Summary/Purpose: The AVP, Solution Architect is responsible for designing applications or services as part of a solution development workstream. The role requires a mix of technical and business skills, often working with enterprise architects for strategic guidance. The focus is on technical decision-making impacting business outcomes, guiding the development team in implementation.
Our Way of Working: We offer flexibility to work from home, near our hubs, or in our offices, with occasional in-person engagement requirements.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Build and integrate information systems meeting specific needs, involving software and hardware integration.
- Guide the development effort during the SDLC, providing technical direction.
- Select appropriate technologies balancing architectural and business considerations.
- Focus on solving business problems with technology, choosing frameworks, designing application interfaces, ensuring scalability and maintainability, and assessing third-party risks.
- Oversee programming, integration, testing, and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelors degree + 7 years in IT or 9 years application development if no degree.
- 7+ years full stack development with Spring, JEE, API, microservices, UI frameworks.
- 5+ years in application architecture and design, familiar with patterns, processes, and tools.
Desired Characteristics:
- Knowledge of fintech industry, service-oriented architecture, Agile.
- Skills in dependency management, CI environments, cloud deployment, API specifications, mobile solutions.
Salary range: $110,000 - $185,000 annually, with bonuses. Compensation depends on experience and market factors.
Eligibility: Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or equivalent, pass background checks, and legal work authorization in the U.S. is required. Internal posting rules apply.
