We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated metal 3D printing manufacturing engineer to join our growing team and be part of the launch of our first state-of-the-art manufacturing facility at Austin, Texas.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Additive Manufacturing Engineer located in the Austin, Texas Metropolitan Area. The Additive Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing additive manufacturing processes. Day-to-day tasks include working on manufacturing techniques, ensuring quality control, improving production efficiency, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement innovative manufacturing solutions. The engineer will also be expected to handle the maintenance and troubleshooting of manufacturing equipment, as well as document and report on production metrics.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
- Previous experience in additive manufacturing or 3D printing is REQUIRED
- Expertise in Metal 3D Manufacturing Processes and Machining
- Background in Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering
- Knowledge in Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with quality control practices and production efficiency improvements
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
- Knowledge of CAD/CAM software and G-code programming
Technical Skills
- 3D printing technologies and processes
- Post-processing techniques
- Quality control and inspection methods
- Design for Additive Manufacturing (DfAM)
- Process parameter optimization
Physical Requirements
