Example of Duties College of the Canyons is seeking a Clinical Site Coordinator/Adjunct Instructor for the Pharmacy Technician Program. The Clinical Site Coordinator (ACCE, Academic Coordinator for Clinical Education), under the direction of the Program Director, is responsible for overseeing the clinical education for

for students. This role ensures compliance with programmatic accreditation and regulatory standards. It is responsible for identifying and securing clinical affiliations with healthcare facilities to provide appropriate clinical experiences for
Pharmacy Technician
for students. This position oversees student placements, manages site agreements, and maintains clear communication between students, program administrator(s), and industry partners. Key responsibilities include assessing potential clinical sites, negotiating and renewing contracts, ensuring that each site aligns with program standards and student learning objectives, and maintaining documentation for compliance. The Clinical Site Coordinator facilitates student onboarding by acquiring background checks, immunization requirements documentation, and site-specific orientations, ensuring all necessary documentation is completed before clinical placement. Establishing and maintaining a structured tracking system is essential for monitoring student assignments, ensuring compliance with site policies, and generating reports for accreditation and institutional review. This position demands strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate multiple site placements while resolving challenges as they arise. Building and sustaining relationships with healthcare partners is essential to expanding placement opportunities and strengthening long-term affiliations. Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and adaptability to changing regulatory requirements are necessary to support a seamless and compliant clinical placement process that enhances student learning and professional development.

California Community College Instructor Credential in Pharmacy Technologies
OR
- Bachelor’s degree or higher and two years of professional experience;
OR
- Associate’s degree and six years of professional experience, which must be directly related to the faculty member’s teaching assignment;
OR
- Associates degree and an accredited Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT), and four years professional pharmacy experience.
Required Licensure
Must possess state licensure/registration to practice as a pharmacist or pharmacy technician. If a pharmacy technician, must possess and maintain national certification (CPhT). Further Details Assignments may include Monday through Friday (day and evening), as well as Saturday classes. Adjunct Salary Rate : Starting at
