As a member of the global communications team, the Regional Communications Business Partner will assist in shaping the AkzoNobel brand and reputation, engaging key audiences to support business objectives. This role will develop strong communication strategies and execute plans to build, strengthen, and protect the corporate reputation of AkzoNobel as a leading company in North America. The focus will be on external stakeholders, including the media, trade associations, and official bodies, while also supporting the increase of employee engagement with the company as an employer of choice. Key Responsibilities
Design and execute internal and external communication strategies that drive AkzoNobel’s reputation with key stakeholders and are aligned with overall company positioning. Protect and enhance the AkzoNobel brand through campaigns that support the overall reputation drivers including innovation, sustainability, and employer of choice. Assist in positioning AkzoNobel as a top employer to attract potential talent from the market. Design communication strategies to drive AkzoNobel's internal engagement and help to build AkzoNobel employees into true ambassadors of the brand and strategy. Support the global Public Affairs strategy by developing relationships with key stakeholders (Government, trade associations, local Dutch entities, etc.) in alignment with company goals and needs. Prepare executives and spokespeople for interviews, creating communications packages accordingly. Collaborate with global teams, elevating our best stories in the region for potential use in global channels, campaigns, and plans. Follow and implement trends and best practices in communications, including but not limited to corporate branding, social media, employee engagement, etc. Monitor and report progress against agreed internal and external communications targets and objectives as defined by the global/regional team. Job Requirements
Bachelor of Arts in Communications, Marketing, or related field. 7 years' communications experience in a corporate or agency environment. Proven track record of delivering integrated, multi-channel external and internal communications and public relations programs and campaigns. Must be able to coordinate multiple business demands in alignment with company strategy, working with cross-functional teams. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Effective time management and project management skills with the ability to drive deliverables and metrics. Proficient in Microsoft Office. Experience using communications and media software preferred. Fluent in English. Rewards and Benefits
The salary range for these skills is $110,000.00 - $123,000.00. This is the range that we in good faith anticipate relying on when setting wages for this position.
