Surgical Technician (Accepting New Grads)
Location : Salisbury, MD
Shift : Varied (to be discussed during the interview)
Relocation Assistance : Up to $2,500
Sign-on Bonus : Up to $20,000
Position Summary :
We are seeking a dedicated Surgical Technician to join our surgical team in Salisbury, MD. The Surgical Technician will assist the surgical team by ensuring the operating room is sterile, properly equipped, and fully prepared for surgeries. The individual in this role will report directly to a Registered Nurse (R.N.) and may also be responsible for the inventory, distribution, and delivery of medications.
Key Responsibilities :
Prepare and maintain the sterile field during surgical procedures. Assist the surgical team in preparing surgical instruments and equipment. Ensure all surgical tools and equipment are properly sterilized and ready for use. Pass instruments and supplies to the surgeon during procedures. Assist in draping the patient and ensuring the operating room environment is sterile. Position Requirements :
Graduate of a certified surgical tech program from a community college, vocational school, military program, or hospital-based program. Will consider candidates with documented on-the-job experience as an Operating Room Technician. Certified Surgical Technician (CST) preferred. Six contact hours of continuing education or three college credits related to the nursing field per year is encouraged. Benefits :
