Welding Engineer
A leading industrial construction contractor is seeking a Welding Engineer to join their Toledo-based team. This is a full-time, direct hire position with a well-established company known for executing complex, high-stakes projects in the power and petrochemical industries. If you’re detail-oriented with experience in welding codes and quality control, this could be the next step in your career.
What You’ll Do:
- Develop and qualify Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Procedure Qualification Records (PQR) for industrial projects.
- Conduct weld inspections and audits to ensure compliance with ASME, AWS, and customer standards.
- Maintain and update welder qualifications and certification records.
- Assist with estimating welding costs and selecting appropriate materials and non-destructive testing (NDT) methods for each project.
- Serve as the go-to technical expert on welding codes, procedures, and compliance documentation.
Top Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Welding or Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent experience in a technical role.
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in industrial construction environments, particularly in welding, supervision, or inspection.
- Strong working knowledge of ASME and AWS Codes and welding practices for pressure vessels, piping, and structural applications.
