SUMMARY
The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing and managing the sales operations of the company. This role involves developing strategic plans to achieve sales targets, leading and mentoring the sales team, product introduction and building strong relationships with clients to drive rapid growth. The ideal candidate will have an engineering/technical background, technical sales experience in the electronics industry, supported by a strong, dedicated team of professionals.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Sales Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective sales strategies that align with company goals.
Team Leadership: Lead, motivate, and mentor the sales team of direct outside sales personnel, Manufacturers Reps, and distributors to ensure high performance and achievement of sales targets.
Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction.
Market Analysis: Utilize data mining to analyze market trends and competitors to identify new opportunities and areas for growth.
Actively manage the demand creation pipeline.
Sales Reporting: Prepare and present monthly sales reports to the executive team, highlighting performance metrics and areas for improvement.
Budget Management: Manage the sales budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources.
Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as marketing and product development, to support sales initiatives.
Compliance: Ensure that all sales activities comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
SUPERVISOR RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervisory responsibilities involve overseeing and managing a team of Regional Sales Managers, Reps, Distributors, Product Managers, Inside Sales and Marketing in multiple locations to achieve product synergies and cohesive strategies, ensure adequate performance and job satisfaction, and contribute to individuals’ career goals.
QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical /Electrical) or Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth.
Industry Knowledge: Deep electronic interconnect industry knowledge and an extensive network of industry contacts required.
Location in West Coast/Western US preferred.
