We are seeking a seasoned Associate Director of Project Controls to support and lead our team on a high-profile semiconductor client project in Chandler, AZ. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and provide critical support on large-scale, technically complex projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Oversee a client account with significant growth potential or a portfolio of smaller clients as the point of contact. Perform Project Controls Services including capital planning, project governance, front end planning, project funding, setup, construction technology, procure-to-pay, cost & commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close-out. Engage in business development to defend, maintain, and grow managed accounts. Participate in resource management, including talent acquisition, retention, development, and utilization. Lead staff development through supervision, training, coaching, and mentoring. Develop and manage fee proposals. Mentor and train team members on measurement methods, construction technology, contracts, and delivery methods. Participate in industry events. Manage business aspects of assigned areas, including revenue and margins. Handle accounts receivables and projections. Lead cost control efforts for projects with complex funding structures. Partner with the Director of Project Controls to lead QA/QC reviews of junior controls staff. Lead project controls 'lessons learned' sessions post-project closeout. Perform other duties as assigned. Maintain attendance during normal business hours. Knowledge & Skills Required:
Technical competency in project controls including capital planning, governance, front end planning, funding, setup, construction technology, procure-to-pay, cost & commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and close-out. Ability to manage and monitor team activities aligned with organizational goals. Effective delegation with clear instructions and ongoing feedback. Ability to monitor metrics and adjust as necessary, holding self and others accountable. Strong communication skills to provide feedback and articulate organizational direction. Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders. Experience in developing team members and providing ongoing feedback. Transition from task-focused to business-oriented thinking. Leadership traits and representation of company values in client interactions. Ability to provide value engineering solutions, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Proven business development skills, with experience in growing market presence. Proficiency in ERP systems like SAP, Oracle. Proficiency in estimation across divisions. Proficiency in contract management for projects (pre- and post-award). Proficiency in project cost management. Experience with analytical/reporting software such as Power BI. Proficiency in project information management systems like Procore or ACC Bim. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Education and Experience:
