Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Associate Manufacturing Engineer to join a Federal Program in Midland, TX. The Manufacturing Engineer will assist in developing, evaluating, and improving manufacturing methods and processes. Responsibilities of the Associate Manufacturing Engineer include: •Evaluate new product designs for manufacturability and provide feedback to R&D and Product Engineering teams.•Develop safe, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing processes to meet production timelines and demand.•Design detailed production processes, including layouts, tooling, fixtures, testing protocols, and documentation.•Drive continuous improvement using Six Sigma principles, leveraging expertise in design, materials, tooling, and assembly methods.•Provide technical support to resolve issues in existing production processes.•Participate in or lead initiatives such as Safety programs, Kaizen events, and process improvement projects.•Lead Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) analyses to enhance product quality and reliability. Qualifications for the Associate Manufacturing Engineer include: •Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace) or 8+ years of equivalent experience.•Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.•Proficient in MS Office, CAD/CAM, PLM, ERP, and MES systems.•Strong understanding of tooling, gauging, Six Sigma, and capability studies.•Skilled in technical writing, including manuals, work instructions, and process documentation.•Demonstrated excellence in communication, organization, time management, and independent problem-solving in fast-paced environments.•Proven leadership and interpersonal skills with a focus on continuous improvement, including experience with pFMEA and Lean Manufacturing.•Skilled in coding and automation using VBA, C+, C#, and Python.•Hands-on experience in liaison/concurrent engineering, AutoCAD, Inventor, and supporting robotic manufacturing operations.•Proficient in ERP, MES, and PLM systems (e.g., Solumina, NetSuite, Fusion360) with a track record of process innovation and Six Sigma Black Belt (DMAIC) certification.•Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance.
