Department of Electrical & Computer Engineering
is embarking on an aggressive hiring effort for multiple tenure-track positions. We seek excellent candidates whose research falls into one of the following research areas:Image processing, computer vision, and machine learning with applications to medical imaging; speechand language technologies and applications, including healthcare and education; machine learning and artificial intelligence, with special interests in embodied AI, continual and multimodal learning, and autonomous navigation.We are particularly interested in interdisciplinary researchers whose who are considering applications over a wide range of areas including national security, societal safety, materials design, public health, clinical care, neuroscience, space systems, and policy.The faculty will be part of the University's new
Data Science and AI Institute
and have access to its unparalleled
computational infrastructure
.The Department ofElectrical & Computerhas 27 full-time tenured and tenure-track faculty members, 8 research and 2 teaching faculty members, 150 PhD students, over 80 MSE students, and 140 undergraduate students.Applications will be considered at all levels. The expected salary range for this position will is:Assistant Professors $150k-$200kAssociate Professors $190k-$260kFull Professors $220k-$500kThe referenced salary range is based on Johns Hopkins University's good faith belief at the time of posting. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will be based on factors including, but not limited to, the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate - e.g., years in rank, training, field, discipline, other work experience, and other similar factors; geographic location; internal equity; external market conditions; and other factors as reasonably determined by the University.Qualifications
The candidate must hold a Ph.D. in electrical, computer engineering or a related field and will be expected to contribute to the growth of the Electrical & Computer engineering program, develop an independent research program, secure research funding, and teach courses in the electrical & computer engineering area.Application Instructions
