Engineering Services: - Responsible for the coordinated testing and certification of codes on the following routing and switching platforms, including but not limited to the following: o Cisco Catalyst Switches - 8300, 8500L, 8500-12X o Cisco ASR 1002-HX o Cisco C1111-4P WAN / SDN / Console o Cisco Catalyst 9300/ 9400 / 9500 / 9200CX o Cisco Nexus 5K/7K switches. o Arista L2/L3 devices o Silver Peak Edge Connects - Work closely with Cisco and other vendors to access their current code libraries and develop the code and test plans for each platform. - Provide technical expertise and leadership needed to test code on the various platforms and certify features and functionality as it relates to RBC's environment. - Manage technical escalations with the vendor and Service Management/Coordinator team (see above). - Provide recommendations and contribute to the solutions in an area of expertise including leading work streams that are part of the larger initiative. - Provide regular updates to Service Management/Coordinator team of the status of code certifications. - Plan, submit, execute, monitor, remediate deployments and assist with supporting all system updates and lead production deployment activities. - Execute the agreed upon test plans for the "short-term" code certification solution. - Automation Test Plan Development: o Review RBC's automation test requirements and objectives. o Develop the automated test plans per platform and device o Execute automation testing based on the approved Automation Test Plan. - Scripting development is required to help automate the delivery of the new code into the production environment. - Work with RBC's existing Ixia platform to spin up configurations and test cases for all platforms. The goal is to develop an automated process which will create a report identifying whether the devices achieve a pass or fail
