Position: BMS Project Manager (Hybrid)
Location – Indianapolis, USA
Duration - 24 Months Contract
Roles & Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Lead the end-to-end execution of BMS projects in pharmaceutical facilities, ensuring alignment with project goals and industry best practices.
- Develop and manage project plans, budgets, and timelines while tracking progress against key milestones.
- Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, vendors, contractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Oversee the integration of BMS with other facility systems, including HVAC, EMS (Environmental Monitoring Systems), and SCADA.
Vendor & Stakeholder Management:
- Manage vendor selection, contracts, and performance to ensure timely and quality delivery.
- Coordinate with automation, IT, and facilities teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Conduct regular meetings with stakeholders to track progress, address risks, and resolve issues.
Compliance & Quality Assurance:
- Ensure BMS design and implementation comply with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice), FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP 5, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee validation and commissioning of BMS systems, including FAT, SAT, and IQ/OQ/PQ activities.
- Maintain detailed documentation, including URS (User Requirement Specifications), FDS (Functional Design Specifications), and SOPs.
Risk & Issue Management:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation plans to address potential challenges.
- Ensure adherence to safety, cybersecurity, and data integrity standards.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Automation, or related field).
- Minimum 12-15 years of experience in Building Management systems and control systems.
- 7+ years of experience of Project Management in BMS projects in pharmaceutical, biotech, or life sciences industries.
- Strong knowledge of BMS platforms (e.g., Siemens, Honeywell, Schneider, Johnson Controls).
- Familiarity with GMP, GAMP 5, FDA 21 CFR Part 11, and ISPE guidelines.
- Proven experience in vendor management, contract negotiations, and project budgeting.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plus.
