Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician at CCWSG summary : We are seeking a dedicated Family Practice - Geriatrics Physician to join our Sacramento team, focusing on providing quality care to the elderly and frail in various settings. This role involves overseeing medical operations, supervising staff, and working Monday through Friday with no direct inpatient hospital care required. The ideal candidate will be Board Certified in primary care, possess a current medical license, and have a minimum of two years' clinical experience with elderly patients. Starting Salary Range: $270,000 DOE + Bonus and Benefits Ready to have your nights and weekends back to yourself? You'll work Monday through Friday, supporting only our enrolled participants. Requirements to apply: Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy degree required Board Certified in a primary care specialty (will consider Board Eligible but must pass boards within 12 months of employment) Current active state Medical License and DEA license with full prescriptive authority Not on the Preclusion List Minimum of 2 years of clinical work experience Minimum of one year working with the frail or elderly Job Overview: The Center Medical Director provides medical care for enrolled participants across a variety of settings, including but not limited to the center's clinic, participants' homes, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care boarding homes. Direct hospital inpatient care is not required, but close coordination of care with hospital-based providers is essential. The CMD is also responsible for oversight of day-to-day medical operations at the center and provides supervision of physicians and adult nurse practitioners. They assist with keeping expenses within the department budget, quality initiatives, utilization, and resource management.
