Quality Detail Inspector (Second Shift)
Location: Doral, Florida
Schedule: 2:15 PM – 10:15 PM (Second Shift)
Type of Contract: Permanent
Pay Rate: $30/hr – $40/hr + $2/hr shift differential
Note: Lunch breaks are provided without deduction from working hours.
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly experienced Detail Inspector for our second shift operations. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise working with CFM-56 engines and must possess a Powerplant License . This role is critical in ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations while maintaining the highest level of quality assurance in aviation maintenance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform detailed inspections on CFM-56 engine components, ensuring compliance with FAA regulations, manufacturer specifications, and company quality standards.
- Conduct preliminary, in-process, and final inspections of engines, components, and completed maintenance work.
- Verify tooling and equipment usage to ensure adherence to required standards.
- Review and approve maintenance records for accuracy and completeness.
- Document inspections and findings accurately, reporting any deviations or issues to management.
- Perform borescope inspections, receiving inspections, and module inspections as required.
- Ensure compliance with Airworthiness Directives (ADs), Service Bulletins (SBs), and other regulatory guidance.
- Work collaboratively with technicians and engineers to resolve discrepancies and improve maintenance processes.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience working with CFM-56 engines (as a mechanic, technician, or inspector).
- Experience working in a shop repair company (Must).
- FAA Powerplant License (Mandatory).
- A&P License (Airframe & Powerplant) – Preferred but not required.
- Strong understanding of FAA Part 65 and Part 145 regulations.
- Experience using Quantum Aviation Software for tracking maintenance records.
