Job Summary:
Serve Canterbury Park guests in the Card Casino, Live racing, and Event bars in a courteous and professional manner. Responsible for supporting the Companies mission, vision, and values by providing fun and games like no place else, and adheres to the Canterbury Way by focusing on our core values.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Lead by example.
2. Maintain a high degree of hospitality, as well as a positive and professional demeanor at all times.
3. Create high levels of morale, foster teamwork, inspire collaboration, and provide suggestions for growth to management.
4. Maintain prompt and courteous service to all Canterbury Park guests.
5. Responsible for assigned work station set-up and maintaining a clean/neat station throughout the shift.
6. Serve guests; take and deliver orders of food (if applicable) and refreshments efficiently, and finalize transactions accurately.
7. Handle cash, credit, and coupons accurately utilizing assigned policies and SOPs.
8. Complete documented alcohol service safety training.
9. Follow through on all policies and procedures in conjunction with alcohol awareness training (refusing service, asking for ID’s, etc.).
10. Restock, clean, and reset work station for the next shift.
11. Fill out requisitions for the next shift/day as needed.
12. Safeguard Canterbury Park Concessions cash, supplies, and property.
13. Assist in all areas of the Concessions Department when needed.
14. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.
2. Basic math skills.
3. Must pass Canterbury Park’s pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and verification of work history.
4. Must attain a Minnesota Racing Commission (MRC) license.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. TIPS/ServSafe alcohol certification is preferred.
