CAPE, Inc. has a wonderful opportunity for a Classroom Inclusion Coordinator, Full Time (FT)
This position is eligible for a signing bonus of $1,500!
•Position is Non-Exempt, Full Time (40 hours/week), 12 months
•Pay Rate: Up to $35.000 per hour commensurate with education and related experience

•Reports to Education Manager

CAPE, Inc. headquarters is in Livermore, and provides early childhood education services (Head Start and Early Head Start preschool programs) in Livermore, Dublin, Pleasanton, and Hayward areas. CAPE offers a cohesive environment for passionate people who want to make a significant contribution to early childhood education, social/emotional development and early childhood mental health.
Position Overview: CAPE Inc. is looking for an individual to provide hands-on support and technical assistance to teachers with children who need an elevated level of support. The Classroom Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that Teaching Pyramid is being implemented and IEP/IFSP goals are being addressed in the classroom.
The responsibilities of the Classroom Inclusion Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:
Essential Functions:
• Assists teacher with writing behavior plans; provides staff training
•Implements behavior plans
•Promote team building and staff wellness
•Provides training on BORs, RBSG, PDAs,
•Creates Teaching Pyramid supports for teachers to use in the classroom
•Provides documentation of all support provided in the classroom
•Participates in case management
•Conducts classroom observations
•Informs on Positive Behavior support policies and procedures
•Evaluates learning environment and conducts assessments
•Support staff in classroom management, creating a prosocial environment
•Reading and interpreting IFSP/IEPs; modeling strategies that help meet objectives
•Identifying IEP goals and objectives to teaching staff
•Observing children and provide feedback
•Inputting Special Education and Mental Health support into ChildPlus
•Researching and providing resources for supporting children
•Familiar with ASQ and ASQ-SE and analyzing results
•Completing classroom assessments like inventory of practice; TPTOS
•Other duties in the program as assigned
Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field
•3+years' experience in the field of infant and early childhood mental health preferred
•Knowledge of Teaching Pyramid (CA-CSEFEL)
•Experience working with diverse communities
•Experience with young children 0-5 and their families
•Self-motivated; ability to work both semi-independently and in cooperation with others
•Strong and effective communication skills both written and verbal
•Strong work ethics, organization, and documentation skills
•Ability to exercise good clinical, legal, and ethical judgment
•Ability to make sound decisions and to multi-task
•Ability to use technology for assigned job duties
•Valid California Driver's License
•TB clearance and health screening
•Fingerprint and child abuse index clearance
•
Desirable Qualifications
•Bi-lingual, Spanish preferred
•Teaching Pyramid experience preferred
