Who We Are:
GMA Accessories dba Capelli New York is a major U.S. manufacturer and distributor of apparel, footwear, novelty and gift products, jewelry, fashion accessories, handbags, PPE, and sports/athletic apparel for women, men, and kids. We were established in 1990 and have approximately 600 employees in the U.S.A. and 2,500 employees worldwide. We have locations in the U.S.A., UK, China, Hong Kong, Germany, and Bangladesh.
What We Are Looking For:
We are currently seeking a Sales Associate at Capelli New York to work at our New York City Office. The overall aim of this role is to assist the sales team by learning all sales systems and processes based on customer needs, and to be a reliable internal resource for all operational tasks. The ideal candidate will be serious about having a career, not just a job.
Responsibilities:
· Coordinate scheduling with clients and sales team members
· Help process and complete all Product Development and sample requests for customers.
· Manage and handle the post-sales support process to fulfill orders placed by customers.
· Create and process sales orders - if needed ensuring the accuracy of sales orders and purchase orders received from customers.
· Communication with buyers, overseas office and licensees.
· Participate in sales meeting and responsible for follow up.
· Perform data entry duties related to item set up, and develop an understanding of different customer portals.
· Generate, manage, update, maintain and distribute reports on a daily and weekly basis related to sales activities.
· Manage administrative tasks related to sales activities.
· Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills and Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree required.
· 2-3 years of experience in wholesale Handbags and Footwear
· Strong written and oral communication skills and able to work as a part of team.
· Ability to prioritize, multi task, and work effectively in a fast-paced environment in order to meet deadlines.
· Must be detail-oriented, extremely organized, self-motivated and able to work well under pressure.
· Encompass a positive attitude, work ethic and exceptional follow up skills.
· Must have the ability to be punctual, prepared and professional.
· Excellent computer skills especially Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
