Reporting directly to the Lab/Ultrasound Quality Manager, you will perform a variety of medical assisting tasks under the supervision of the Medical Laboratory Technologist. Your role contributes to the success of lab operations and ensures an exceptional care experience for our patients. How You'll Drive Our Mission Forward: Perform venipuncture and collect urine specimens with precision and care, supporting diagnostic and treatment efforts. Accurately input patient data, test orders, and ICD-9 codes into the LabDaq system, contributing to smooth and compliant lab workflows. Transport lab specimens to the hospital and internal departments, ensuring timely processing and continuity of care. Log, track, and mail reference lab and VAP study specimens, maintaining proper documentation and follow-up. Keep the work area clean, safe, and organized, and promptly report any safety concerns. Demonstrate excellent communication with physicians, patients, and team members to support coordination and professionalism in patient care. Adhere to HIPAA regulations and CIS's Compliance Plan to protect patient privacy and uphold ethical standards. What Makes You a Great Match: You have a high school diploma and preferably experience or training in phlebotomy or as a medical assistant. You are certified in Basic Life Support (BLS) and understand the importance of responsive, high-quality patient care. You are organized, efficient, and able to manage your time well while supporting your team when duties are complete. You communicate clearly and professionally with patients, providers, and colleagues in a fast-paced environment. You are detail-oriented, with a commitment to accuracy in documentation-both paper and electronic medical records.
