Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Recruiter/HR Generalist with a proven record for attracting and hiring high-quality candidates in a fast-paced environment. Our organization is looking for someone who can demonstrate excellent research and sourcing skills through internet, phone or other channels, a reputation for exceptional candidate generation with a sense of urgency, and understands the value of providing amazing customer service! In this dual-role position the Recruiter/HR Generalist will support key HR functions, including employee relations, compliance, onboarding, and HR process improvements. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proactive and able to manage multiple functions and business demands.
Responsibilities
- HR Generalist Functions
- Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs and develop strategic recruiting plans.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates using resume databases, job boards, and networking strategies.
- Coordinate and conduct interviews, background checks, reference checks, and employment verifications.
- Maintain the applicant tracking system (ATS) and report on key hiring metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, source of hire).
- Implement and refine recruitment strategies to attract and retain top talent.
- Facilitate new hire onboarding, ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience.
- Support employee relations, including investigations, corrective actions, and coaching.
- Administer and organize new hire paperwork, onboarding activities, and annual compliance requirements.
- Assist with benefits-related inquiries, workers’ compensation, leaves of absence, and benefits administration.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
- Maintain HR records and ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Assist in the administration of the Learning Management System (LMS) and other training initiatives.
- Communicate HR-related announcements, including new hires, promotions, and terminations.
- Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and legal compliance requirements in HR and talent management.
- Perform additional HR and recruiting duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required (degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field preferred)
- Minimum three (3) years’ in recruiting and/or HR
- Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employment laws, and compliance requirements.
- Proficient with Applicant Tracking Systems and resume databases
- Experience with sourcing techniques
- Results-orientated approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite
- Healthcare experience strongly preferred
