Position Overview:
The company is seeking a Chief Scientific Officer to lead its scientific strategy and research operations. This role will oversee platform R&D, intellectual property development, and scientific team leadership. The CSO will work closely with the CEO and executive team to align scientific efforts with business objectives and commercialization goals.

Key Responsibilities:
- Define and lead the company's scientific strategy and research roadmap.
- Oversee R&D operations, including resource planning, budgeting, and execution.
- Manage and mentor senior scientific leaders across multiple disciplines.
- Develop and implement intellectual property strategy in coordination with legal counsel.
- Collaborate with business development to evaluate technical fit with partners and customers.
- Translate customer and market feedback into R&D priorities.
- Represent the company in scientific, investor, and industry forums.
- Support fundraising and corporate development with scientific insights.
Qualifications:
- Ph.D. in molecular biology, cell biology, bioengineering, or a related field.
- 15+ years of industry experience in biotech, biopharma, or CDMO environments.
- Proven leadership in R&D strategy and scientific team management.
- Experience with IP development and patent portfolio management.
- Familiarity with Quality by Design principles in therapeutic development.
- Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience in early-stage or high-growth biotech companies is preferred.
