Clarion Partners is expanding and updating their enterprise data management platform by integrating new data sources and utilizing current technologies, such as Microsoft Fabric. The goal of the platform is to integrate advanced analytics into business processes to improve decision-making capabilities and operational efficiency.
Clarion Partners is looking for a data analyst and project manager to collaborate with data engineers and other analysts to implement solutions for the Performance Measurement, Asset Management, Portfolio Finance, and Portfolio Management teams. The position involves data analysis and project management responsibilities to ensure the completion of projects. A suitable candidate should be client-focused, result-driven, motivated, versatile, and able to communicate effectively.
Responsibilities:
•Manage projects related to the Performance Measurement systems that aggregate data, enforce governance and calculate firm, portfolio, and property level returns.
•Manage projects related to Business Intelligence systems that aggregate and report on leasing, occupancy, and property level financials.
•Translate business requirements into data engineering specifications. Create mockups, business process workflow diagrams, project plans, status reports, test plans, training documents, and data definition libraries.
•Assist in extending the current data warehouses using medallion architecture and Microsoft Fabric.
•Develop an understanding of the various data sources that are available and apply data analysis skills to determine how they can be best structured.
•Build Power BI semantic models from data warehouses that meet requirements identified by end consumers.
•Drive the project throughout the software development lifecycle. Define project scope, goals, budget, and deliverables. Manage risks and track/resolve issues.
•Perform product testing and facilitate others in performing quality assurance and user acceptance testing.
•Establish a strong rapport with business users and manage client expectations.
•Manage day-to-day relationship with vendors and ensure that the issues are resolved satisfactorily.
•Prepare user guides and provide training. Resolve production issues when necessary.
Qualifications
•Bachelor's or advanced degree preferably in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Analytics, Mathematics or Computer Science.
•3+ years of relevant experience as business analysis and/or project management in financial services industry.
•2+ years of hands-on experience performing data analysis and using Power BI or similar tool
•Excellent analytical skills with ability to independently problem solve.
•Basic SQL skills are required
•Experience building reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, Power Query, and PowerPivot, Qlik or other similar technology.
•Experience with using multidimensional or tabular data.
•Understanding of accounting concepts.
•Proficiency in Microsoft Office products such as Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio.
•Advanced Excel skills are required.
•Ability to actively listen, problem solve, and communicate effectively with end users, technical developers, and vendors.
•Strong organizational skills and leadership skills. Highly motivated self-starter.
•Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and adapt to a changing environment.
•Detail oriented with the ability to work independently
•Experience with real estate accounting and/or real estate performance measurement is desirable.
If based in New York, the base salary range for this position is USD $90,000 - $110,000. Actual base salary offered will be determined by several components including but not limited to the candidate's experience, job-related knowledge, and qualifications. Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role. Total compensation may vary based on role, location, and individual performance.
