Center City District is seeking a detail oriented, dependable individual to join our team as a Maintenance Custodian.
The Maintenance Custodian is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks at our Center City District offices, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning restrooms, and emptying trash, while also handling minor maintenance repairs to the building and equipment, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaky faucets, and addressing basic plumbing issues; essentially combining cleaning duties with light maintenance tasks to ensure safety at our properties and Parks that we manage.
Essential Functions include, but not limited to:
•General Cleaning:
•Sweeping and mopping floors
•Vacuuming carpets
•Dusting furniture and surfaces
•Cleaning windows and glass doors
•Emptying trash cans and recycling bins
•Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms
•Maintenance Tasks:
•Changing light bulbs
•Minor plumbing repairs (leaky faucets, clogged toilets)
•Basic electrical repairs
•Fixing minor damages to walls and doors
•Inspecting and reporting maintenance issues
•Equipment Operation:
•Operating floor cleaning machines (buffers, scrubbers)
•Using cleaning chemicals safely
•Maintaining and cleaning custodial equipment
•Grounds Keeping
•Sweeping sidewalks
•Removing snow and ice
•Basic landscaping maintenance

Requirements
Interested Candidates must the following:
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Industrial Cleaning of Offices and using cleaning equipment
- Physical ability to perform repet itive tasks like bending, lifting, and reaching
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain cleanliness standards
- Knowledge of safe cleaning practices and chemical handling
- Basic mechanical skills for minor repairs, using basic tools correctly and safely
- Ability to follow cleaning schedules and instructions
