Under the direction of the Wellness & Prevention Center and in partnership with the allcove San Juan Capistrano leadership team, the Clinical Director will be responsible for the development and implementation of clinical services aligned with the allcove model. This includes assessment and screening, brief interventions, consultations, psychoeducation, individual and group programs, and referral and linkages to other treatments. The Clinical Director will be responsible for clinic operations including protection of private health information, record keeping, scheduling, training, maintaining relevant resources, and other related tasks. The position will also involve clinical supervision of staff and trainees and coordination with the central allcove team.
The candidate must be licensed as a psychologist in California (or license-eligible in California). Must be licensed as a psychologist in another US state or territory, or equivalent jurisdiction, if not in possession of a current CA license by start date.
Responsibilities Provides mental health therapy for individuals, families, and groups as needed to meet the needs of the community and requirements of funders under the supervision of the Clinical Director. Proficient in various therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness Based techniques, and Psychoeducation. Follows established behavioral therapeutic protocol and procedures, such as mandated reporting, confidentiality, and professional ethics. Develops deep knowledge of required documentation and data tracking to maintain compliance with funding sources, including any contracted healthcare agencies. Partners with the Executive Director to plan and coordinate care using cross cultural competence to ensure the needs of stakeholders are met. Participates in professional development, group training, and team-building activities. Participates in outside events and outreach initiatives, as requested. Ensures ongoing local programmatic excellence through communications, documentation, and data tracking. Contributes expertise, support, and feedback to other clinicians and graduate students in clinical team meetings and in direct clinical supervision. Ability to get to work on time. Qualifications Must have an advanced degree in a mental health field. Spanish preferred but not required Must have and maintain license status with the State of California Board of Behavioral Sciences. Must complete supervisor training CEU.
