Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Cloud Engineer to design and develop enterprise cloud capabilities and solutions for IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS offerings. This role will focus on the architecture and technical design of cloud systems, ensuring cost effectiveness, quality, and seamless integration across the organization’s cloud services. The ideal candidate will have experience in cloud computing, DevOps practices, automation tools, and strong collaboration skills with internal teams to deliver high-quality cloud solutions.
Key Responsibilities: Cloud Strategy & Best Practices: Contribute to and support the corporate Enterprise Cloud strategy, standards, and best practices across all cloud offerings. Cloud Project Delivery: Provide expert-level design and engineering support for the successful delivery of the company’s cloud project portfolio. DevOps & Agile Adoption: Support the corporate adoption of DevOps methodology and Agile project management practices. Architecture Design: Lead and participate in architectural discussions to ensure solutions are designed for deployment, security, cost effectiveness, and high availability. Disaster Recovery & Continuity: Design and implement disaster recovery and business continuity architecture for virtualized infrastructures. Automation & Monitoring: Create and implement automation solutions for cloud platforms, including monitoring and alerting systems. Process Improvement: Develop and implement internal systems, processes, and best practices to increase productivity across teams. Cloud Infrastructure: Ensure infrastructure components meet performance and capacity standards. Required Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum of 10 years in IT platform, storage, and network virtualization architecture and engineering. Operating Systems: In-depth knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux and Microsoft Windows Server. Cloud Solutions: 4+ years of practical experience designing and building solutions utilizing AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS, KMS, Lambda, IAM, Kinesis, ECS, AWS CLI, Data Pipeline. Azure experience is a plus. Automation Tools: 4+ years of hands-on experience with cloud automation tools such as AWS CloudFormation and/or Terraform. Cloud Methodologies: In-depth experience with Cloud methodologies (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS), automation, orchestration, and industry-leading cloud vendor offerings. DevOps Skills: 4+ years of experience working in DevOps teams with proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python), Git, Maven/Nexus, and Jenkins. Configuration Management: 4+ years of hands-on experience with automated tooling such as Chef and/or Puppet. Containerization: Hands-on experience with Docker and container orchestration (preferred). Preferred Qualifications:
Azure: Experience working with Microsoft Azure is highly preferred. Cloud Certification: Cloud certifications (AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure certifications, etc.) are a plus. Disaster Recovery: Experience with Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery design, planning, and implementation.
