Chief Estimator

Chief Estimator , you will play a vital leadership role, overseeing all aspects of preconstruction and estimating while managing a growing team. Your responsibilities will include: Lead and manage the full estimating process across all project types, from concept through final bid Oversee and mentor a team of Estimators and Preconstruction professionals Develop detailed cost estimates, budgets, and competitive bids for ground-up and renovation projects Collaborate with Business Development, Project Management, and Executive leadership on go/no-go decisions Participate in project strategy development and value engineering exercises to ensure competitiveness Maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and industry partners to ensure accurate pricing and market insight Lead bid reviews, pre-bid meetings, and post-bid debriefs with internal stakeholders Ensure that all estimates comply with company standards, client requirements, and industry best practices Manage and improve internal estimating systems, historical cost databases, and process workflows Provide input on project risk, scope gaps, and potential constructability challenges Stay current with market trends, cost fluctuations, and regulatory impacts that could influence pricing Requirements: 10+ years
of estimating experience in commercial construction, with at least 3 years in a leadership or Chief Estimator role Strong project background across
Medical/Healthcare ,
K-12 ,
Municipal , and
Government
sectors Proven success in leading estimating teams on both negotiated and hard-bid projects Strong relationships with Dallas/Fort Worth subcontractor market preferred Exceptional analytical, leadership, and communication skills Proficiency with estimating software (such as OST, Bluebeam, Sage, or similar platforms) Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred ????
