Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Bachelor s degree in biology, physical sciences, or a related field Four to seven (4-7) years internship and residency training, specializing in orthopedic surgery Required Licensure and Certifications: Successful completion of the United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) or the Comprehensive Osteopathic Medical Licensing Examination of the United States (COMLEX-USA) Valid and active medical license issued by the State of Oregon Board of Medical Examiners Certification by The American Board of Orthopedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery and/or a subspecialty, such as sports medicine, reconstructive surgery, trauma, or pediatrics Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Exceptional attention to detail Outstanding hand-eye coordination and dexterity Wonderful bedside manner Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients Flexible working hours Overview
