GENERAL SUMMARY
Working as an Intern with the Delta Dental of Minnesota Foundation and Community Giving provides opportunities to join a fast-paced and fun team that strives to design and execute programs that will improve oral health and overall health outcomes for those living in the Minnesota communities where we serve and live.
You will collaborate with Foundation and Community Giving team members on projects that focus on (a) identifying ways to assist Minnesota communities in fostering and experiencing good oral and overall health (b) maximizing access to age-appropriate oral health services and (c) addressing shortages in the oral health workforce and identifying meaningful ways to overcome the barriers that cause them.
Internship: Summer 2025, June 2, 2025 through August 21, 2025; 29.5 hours/week; On-Site
This position will be with Stratacor, an affiliate of Delta Dental of Minnesota.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Projects may include:
Contribute to the improvement of our In-Kind Donation Program operations by connecting donations and community groups in efficient and creative ways and evaluating in-kind donation requests to ensure they are in-line with community needs. Tasks will also include exploring design and layout concepts for products intended for donation, delivery boxes and educational/marketing materials related to the same. Contribute creative and engaging user-experience input to enhancements currently underway on Foundation and Community Giving websites and social media platforms. Collaborate with other internal departments participating in company funded programs and events in order to develop and share meaningful narratives of community impact with key stakeholders (for example: Sanneh Foundation Summer Soccer Camps, Special Olympics Minnesota 2025, Minnesota Aurora FC Kids Crew) Investigate and evaluate websites and social media presence of selected foundations and philanthropic organizations around the country and oral health coalitions in Minnesota, North Dakota and Nebraska to gain knowledge, insights and perspectives on their footprints, focus, and community impact. The starting salary range for this position is $15.00 hourly to $19.00 hourly. Salary offers will typically be made in the listed range. The Company takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including merit process and internal pay alignment when determining the salary for potential new team members. In compliance with state and federal regulations, a potential new team member’s salary history will not be used in compensation decisions.
