About the Role
The Company is seeking a Senior Counsel with a focus on Regulatory and Environmental, Health, and Safety Law. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal guidance on a wide range of regulatory topics, primarily related to global environmental, health, and safety matters. This includes incident investigation, regulatory compliance, legal guidance, risk management, training and development, issue resolution, policy development, and horizon scanning for changes in legislation and best practices. The role involves close collaboration with operational and commercial leaders, as well as other legal counsel, to ensure that the company's practices meet applicable regulatory requirements. Applicants must have a J.D. degree, be admitted to practice law, and have at least 8 years of post-qualification experience, with a preference for those with a background in environmental and/or health and safety law. The ideal candidate will have experience in providing legal advice to manufacturing clients and possess excellent drafting, review, and negotiation skills. A practical approach to legal advice, the ability to adapt communication style, and a strong sense of responsiveness to business needs are essential.
