Eastern State Hospital (ESH) is hiring
Psychiatrists
to join our multi-disciplinary treatment teams dedicated to promoting recovery from behavioral health issues for individuals we serve. ESH is a fully accredited, state-owned, 317-bed psychiatric inpatient hospital, where our success is in our ability to collaborate to provide evaluation and inpatient treatment for individuals with serious or long-term mental illness. The Opportunity:
You will provide psychiatric care to people on our three units: Forensic Services Unit, Adult Psychiatric Unit, and Geropsychiatric Unit, and perform comprehensive diagnostic assessments to create individual treatment plans. You will have the opportunity to work on some of the most complex cases and assist people on their road to recovery. Your day-to-day includes certifying the medical necessity of the hospital level of care, prescribing and reviewing appropriate medication and treatment, performing ongoing assessments of the patient's response to treatments, and formulating and reviewing discharge plans or justification for continued inpatient status. We are hiring for on-call or full-time. Opportunities performed on-site at this work location at least three days a week may be eligible for an additional 5% premium pay in addition to the advertised salary. Relocation assistance. $10,000 for Board Certification. $10,000 incentive for psychiatrists newly hired to DSHS. $5,000 annual allowance for CME courses. Psychiatrists with a valid license, or ability to obtain, to practice medicine and surgery in Washington State and eligibility for certification by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
