We are currently seeking a Dental Assistant Team Trainer/Floor Coordinator to infuse new energy into our Clinical team. Training! We will train you to become a great Dental Assistant Team Trainer/Floor Coordinator and our (very unique) Global Training program allows you to see how/what all departments do to support you in your role. Some of our Dental Assistants have moved into roles as an Ortho Assistant, Clinical Team Leads, Clinical Administrators, and even Hygienists.

We give plenty of support and we’re with you every step of the way! You start your BDC journey with a 15 day Global Training and your own Ambassador to walk you through it all. Our intention during the beginning days is to introduce you to BDC's entire service, culture mindset and give you customized and or individualized training needed to master your role as a Dental Assistant Team Trainer/Floor Coordinator.

Knowledge of Dentrix Ascend (or other dental software) would be helpful in setting you up for success, but not mandatory. Ability and open to learn our dental software.

n

Here’s an example of what a Dental Assistant Team Trainer/Floor Coordinator might do in a day:

n

Use your years of work experience as a Dental Assistant to demonstrate and train our Dental Assistants skills needed in the clinical setting.

n

Prepare training protocols/checklists needed for develop of our DA's.

n

Be aware of training needs with team members. Either directly mentor or schedule our outsourced Trainer to work with team members as needed. Keep track of development progress in compliance with HR record keeping.

n

Provide all needed "hands on" training on the clinical floor, in sterilization and in the lab settings.

n

Training as needed to enhance skills required in itero or digital scanning for orthodontics or restorative treatment. Enhance general lab skills as identified and needed. Trainings on digital X-rays (Sensors, pan, ceph, CBCT scan.

n

Ability to mentor and teach all OSHA regulations as needed.

n

Share different sterilization techniques with team members.

n

Provide lessons on dental software. Dentrix Ascend knowledge is a plus, but anyone with sufficient knowledge of any dental software and can adapt and ultimately master Ascend works.

n

Communicate regularly with Administrative team and Doctors for feedback on team members possible training needs.

n

Prepare evaluations on team members after first 90 days and annually as scheduled.

n

Ability to understand and assist in helping keep Providers "on time".

n

Recognize and share "same day" dental opportunities with the correct teams.

n

Anticipate and help potentially resolve any scheduling conflicts as they may arise from time to time.

n

General training of new and existing team members.

n

Support lab case organization and tracking for Providers and their teams.

n

Oversee that rooms are properly stocked and ready for a day of service.

n

We're looking for someone who has:

n

10 or more years experience in a General or in a Speciality Dental Assistant position.

n

Flexibility in regards to scheduling. Our office is open 6 days a week, including early morning, late evenings, and some holidays. Most Dental Assistants work every other Saturday. Must be willing to travel to both locations (West Babylon and Patchogue).

n

Experience providing exceptional hospitality-inspired customer service in a fast-paced Practice.

n

Excellent attention to detail and high follow through.

n

A positive, friendly, and enthusiastic attitude. Collaborative and comfortable in communications.

n

Outstanding teamwork skills and the ability work with a diverse group of people.

n

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish welcomed.

n

Passion for helping develop others in their service.

n

Connectivity with people.

n

Experience in running the clinical floor for a busy multi provider Practice.

n

Experience and general comfort with directing team members to leverage enhanced service and standard of care.

n

High level of ability and ease with multi-tasking in all settings.

n

Education:

n

High school or equivalent (Required)

College degree optional

Competitive Compensation: Earn $25 to $30 per hour, reflective of your skills and dedication.

Monthly team bonus opportunities are extended. Most benefits start after your probationary period of 90 days. You start accruing sick time from day one, as per NYS and the Practice extends PTO within year one.
