Project Architect – Reston, VA

Our client, an award-winning Architecture and Interior Design firm in Reston , is looking to add an experienced Project Architect to their collaborative team.
This firm has been at the forefront of design excellence for over 40 years , with an extremely diverse portfolio that includes but is not limited to Education, Healthcare, Life Sciences, Sports and Recreation, Retail, Multifamily, Hospitality, and Workplace Design . The firm is not set up in a traditional studio format! Staff are cross-trained and have the opportunity to work in a variety of sectors, allowing the team to flex their creativity and diversify their portfolios.
Located in a metro accessible, Class-A office space, this is an excellent opportunity to grow with one of the region’s most celebrated design studios. High-Level Role Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, documentation, and construction phases of projects
- Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and clients throughout all project phases
- Maintain and apply knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and environmental standards
- Contribute to a culture of collaboration and design excellence
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience working in an Architecture firm
- An accredited professional degree in Architecture is strongly preferred
- Architecture licensure (or pursuit of it) is strongly preferred
- LEED, WELL, or other sustainability accreditations are a plus
- Revit experience is required. Proficiency in SketchUp, Rhino, and Adobe Creative Suite is a plus
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and architectural standards
- Demonstrated ability to manage project timelines and budgets
- Excellent graphics, visualization, communication, and organizational skills
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to also work independently
