Our Eco-Pan team is looking for a Diesel Mechanic We are offering an hourly starting rate of $34 hr depending on experience. Quarterly incentive plan and company vehicle to perform duties.
JOB SUMMARY
Eco-Pan, Inc., Brundage-Bone Concrete Pumping, Capital Pumping LP has an immediate opening in our Portland, OR Branch for a full-time Mechanic. Reporting to the Branch Manager, this position is responsible for performing regular preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure equipment functions properly.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES
Perform routine maintenance checks and services on diesel engines and hydraulic crane systems to ensure reliability and efficiency.
Repairs include but are not limited to; routine maintenance and repairing engines chassis and body components, hydraulic cylinders, brake systems, suspension systems, cooling systems, wheels and tires.
Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
As necessary, drive to jobsite to repair company equipment.
Welding and metal fabricating - hard face weld on some wear parts. Weld and repair pans and other equipment as needed.
Ensure all trucks meet DOT specifications at all times.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair, air brake, hydraulic, and electrical systems and general mechanical principles.
Welding or fabrication experience preferred.
Commercial Driver’s License preferred, or willingness to obtain.
Must own a large variety of tools and a tool box. Employee will be responsible for maintaining these tools and insuring as needed.
WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to push, pull and lift up to 75 pounds to an overhead position.
Ability to work outside and inside, around moving objects, vehicles, and machinery with moving parts.
Must tolerate working environment with outside temperatures that include excessive heat, cold, wind, and precipitation.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary.
