EH Electric & HVAC is a fully-insured, minority-owned business with offices in Waltham, Boston, and Mashpee that provides electrical and HVAC services to residential and commercial customers in Greater Boston, MetroWest, and Central Massachusetts, as well as providing energy efficiency auditing in partnership with Mass Save. While we’ve been in business since 2004, we are currently scaling up and embracing process improvements, innovation, and new challenges. We are looking for a motivated HVAC Supervisor who is eager to take on a leadership role while expanding their skill set beyond traditional "foreman duties."
What You'll Do
As anHVAC Supervisor, you will oversee all aspects of HVAC work, including:
- Installations & maintenance
- Sheet metal take-offs
- Piping & other standard HVAC fieldwork
- Site assessments & pre-bid walkthroughs
You will also spendat leastone "office day" per weekhandling tasks such as:
- Estimating plan/spec and design/build HVAC systems using computer software
- Coordinating with operational & administrative teams to keep projects on budget and on track
- Networking with professionals within and outside of the trades
Leadership Responsibilities
As a supervisor, you will manageat least two apprentices, including:
- Providing hands-on learning opportunities
- Coordinating schedules & assisting with transportation
- Supporting their professional growth
Required Certifications and Licenses
- Oil Burners Certificate
- EPA Card
- OSHA 10 or 30
- Master or Journeyperson Sheet Metal License
- Driver's license
Required Experience:
- 5+ yearsof HVAC experience
- 1+ yearof supervisory experience (can be outside the trades)
Required Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of commercial & residential HVAC systems
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints & construction documents
- Experience withManual-J Software
- Understanding of related trades (e.g., plumbing) for project coordination
- Superior time management and organizational skills
- Self-directedness and self-motivation
- Excellent attention to detail, particularly when documenting leads and projects
- Willingness to undergo a criminalandemployment verification check
- Willingness to take a drug test (with accommodations for those taking prescription medications)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Entrepreneurial experience (even if outside the trades)
Note: We cannot consider apprentices for this position.

- Union Benefits:We are an IBEW Local 103 shop and offer health insurance for our HVAC team.
- Flexibility:Full-time work (40 hrs/week) or part-time work, if preferred (30-39 hrs/week, no fewer than 4 days/week).
- Compensation:Pay is negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Open to salaried arrangement for full-time employee. Part-time employees are paid hourly, but can still receive health insurance benefits.
- Work-Life Balance:Early mornings will be needed, but no evening or weekend work.
- Time Off:Negotiable based on employee and business needs.
