Full-time, Exempt (Salaried) - $90,000-$120,000 Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Director of Colleague Computing Services, the Systems Analyst/Sr Programmer will be responsible for supporting and providing expertise in the utilization of Ellucian Colleague, the college's ERP system, and its integrated systems. Responsibilities include translating business requirements into technical specifications, designing and coding processes, and creating reports. Duties and Responsibilities
Provide expertise in implementing, developing, and using Ellucian applications, focusing on Colleague ERP, Self Service, Colleague API, and Ethos, Insights, Experience, etc. Assist end users in understanding business processes and system functionality to improve efficiency and effectiveness in utilizing the ERP system and its integrated systems. Respond to user inquiries regarding errors, problems, or questions about programs or workflows. Create interface solutions for electronic data transfer between ERP and external systems. Perform ad-hoc data reports upon departmental requests. Evaluate and adjust setup tables to align with departmental business practices. Analyze end-user needs for custom programs and reports, gather data requirements, develop design specifications, and implement solutions using Envision code, queries, or Insights reports. Maintain documentation of programs, specifications, and procedural updates. Provide high-quality process documentation, change management, and updates to users. Coordinate with other programmers on program revisions, modifications, and maintenance. Ensure effective testing, implementation, and user instructions for system updates and enhancements. Conduct individual and group training sessions for users. Monitor project risks, issues, milestones, and progress reports. Communicate project status to management. Perform other related duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience and education. At least three (3) years of relevant work experience. Experience developing and customizing programs using Colleague Envision Toolkit/Colleague Studio. Proficiency in SQL. Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship. Preferred Qualifications
Experience in higher education settings. Experience with Ellucian products: Self-Service, Web API, Ethos, Insights. Knowledge of ASP.NET, JSON, or similar web scripting languages. Experience developing web applications. Knowledge of college processes related to students, finance, HR, and development. Experience in process analysis, solution design, testing, and documentation. Understanding of practices, policies, and procedures related to technology. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and development skills. Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively. Customer service orientation. Ability to research, analyze trends, and perform root cause analysis. Adaptability to interruptions and changing priorities. Good judgment and problem resolution skills. Ability to establish positive working relationships. Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Hybrid schedule, with potential on-site work based on needs. Work hours may include evenings, weekends, and holidays. Remote work requires maintaining regular hours and communication via established methods. May involve physical activity such as bending, lifting up to 10 lbs. About SVA
