To provide a safe, clean, attractive and efficiently maintained building for students, and teachers to learn and develop scholastically.
Qualifications:
To demonstrate the aptitude for successful fulfillment of assigned responsibilities
Experience: None
Reports to: Head custodian
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Responsible for opening and/or closing the building
- Responsible for controlling the temperature in the building
- Responsible for the general cleanliness of all areas of the of the building NOT just assigned areas
- Cleans classrooms and restrooms daily as assigned
- Makes minor building repairs as he/she is capable of doing
- Keeps grounds free of trash
- Moves furniture or equipment within the building as required
- Assist in the cleanup of cafeteria and kitchen daily
- Perform other duties as assigned
Working Conditions:
Mental Demands/ Physical Demands/ Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Occasional prolonged or irregular hours
Equipment Used:
General cleaning equipment to include but not limited to: Brooms, mops, ringers, dust mops, buffers, extractors, wet/dry vacs, ladders ect.
