Job Title: Senior Electrical EstimatorLocation: New York, NYJob Type: Full-Time | On-SiteOverview:Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Electrical Estimator to join their team in New York. This role is ideal for professionals with a strong background in electrical construction estimating, including power and lighting systems, medium voltage substation and distribution, and experience in sectors such as pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and data centers. The successful candidate will also support project planning and execution, contributing to the company's continued success.Key Responsibilities:Develop cost estimates for small to large-scale electrical construction projects.Analyze proposals, blueprints, and specifications to determine project scope and timelines.Prepare detailed quantity take-offs and assign material and labor values.Create material orders and supporting documentation.Visit job sites to assess progress, troubleshoot issues, and evaluate work quality.Develop project plans from estimates, including task scheduling and personnel planning.Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers to negotiate pricing and leverage local expertise.Participate in project kick-off and turnover meetings.Assist in reviewing contract scope changes and field-related change orders.Maintain accurate logs and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.Perform additional duties as assigned by management.Qualifications:Minimum 6+ years preferred for senior-level candidates.High school diploma required; degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.Experience with electrical systems in pharmaceuticals, hospitals, and/or data centers.Familiarity with estimating software such as ACCUBID and ConEst is preferred.Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.Strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to multitask, stay organized, and work independently.Self-motivated with a positive, customer-focused attitude.Must be able to pass a background screening.
