Paramedic Opportunities
Competitive Starting Wage: $33.50/hour (12-hour shift)
Join a fast-paced system focused on Advanced Life Support (ALS) 911 responses. This is a full-time position!
Key Responsibilities:
Evaluate emergency situations and determine the appropriate medical intervention.
Utilize advanced medical equipment to provide urgent care, including defibrillators, EKG monitors, and intravenous fluids.
Employ triage skills effectively for optimal call management.
Deliver patient care in adherence to clinical protocols and safety standards.
Assist in lifting and moving patients to ensure effective care delivery.
Communicate essential information with receiving facilities and follow medical direction.
Assume leadership roles in managing both the scene and ambulance operations as needed.
Navigate efficiently to minimize response times while driving the ambulance.
Maintain all necessary certifications and keep units clean and stocked for readiness.
Document patient care and billing activities thoroughly for accurate record-keeping.
Adhere to policies for response times and ensure compliance with transportation destination protocols.
Report any incidents involving negative interactions to supervisors promptly.
Be able to read and interpret medication labels swiftly and accurately.
Engage effectively with patients and family members in various environments to gather information.
Observe and discern changes in patients' conditions through physical assessments.
Communicate status updates with dispatchers and other emergency service providers.
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
Current CPR certification (American Heart Association, Healthcare Provider only).
Valid Paramedic State License.
Current Driver's License and Ambulance Driver's License.
Medical exam certification.
Driving record compliant with AMR policies (DMV printout required if conditional offer is made).
Completion of FEMA ICS 100, 200, 700, and 800 courses.
ACLS certification (American Heart Association, no handwritten cards accepted).
PALS certification (American Heart Association, no handwritten cards accepted).
