Work Type: 0.6 FTE (part-time, 48 hours biweekly)

SUMMARY
The primary purpose of your position as a member of the Evangelical Ambulatory Surgical Center (EASC) includes working in any of the areas of the EASC including the Evangelical Community Hospital Endoscopy Center (ECHEC). This position assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care according to established nursing care standards. RNs will be trained in one or more of the following areas as determined by their manager: Pre-Op Area, Operating Room, Endoscopy Room, and Post-Operative Care (PACU). Provides nursing care in accordance with the mission and value statements of EASC and Evangelical Community Hospital.
Hours of normal operation are Monday- Friday.
QUALIFICATIONS
1. Requires an RN licensed or eligible in Pennsylvania; out of state transfer must acquire a PA regular license within one year of hire.
2. Previous Medical/Surgical Nursing and/or Surgical Services experience preferred. Certification recommended.
3. Requires BLS upon hire or within 30 days of hire; must obtain and maintain ACLS within 3 months of hire and PALS within one year of hire or as available thru nursing education. OR and Endo RNs that do not rotate to any other area are not required to take PALS. Per diem EASC OR RNs are not required to obtain ACLS.
4. Pennsylvania state police criminal record check, child abuse history clearance and an FBI criminal history check required.

* Stoop, kneel, crouch/crawl/climb stairs/ladders/small spaces 35.00%
* Walking, standing and lifting of materials/equip up to 60lbs 65.00%
* Frequent walking to various areas of the dept/hospital 65.00%
