Blackstone Talent Group, an award-winning technology consulting and talent agency, is seeking a Database Administrator to join our client's team. The candidate will:
- Install, configure, operate, and maintain database systems across the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) enterprise network.
- Research and apply best practices for database design and administration.
- Support the creation and maintenance of database policies, procedures, and documentation.
- Implement performance monitoring, tuning, and optimization of database systems.
- Support backup and disaster recovery strategies.
- Conduct capacity and availability audits.
- Participate in projects to define database requirements and recommend solutions.
- Research and introduce new database technologies.
- Collaborate with developers, business owners, and architects on design and implementation.
Basic Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in database design, implementation, automation, or data modeling.
- Obtain or have within 6 months an environment certificate (e.g., Microsoft Windows Server 2016, Azure).
- Obtain or have within 3 months a DoD 8570 Level II Certification (e.g., Security+ CE).
- Active DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Desired Skills
- Experience with MS SQL Server 2019 or higher.
- Experience with MS SQL Server clustering, performance tuning, and monitoring.
- Knowledge of relational DBMS concepts and architecture.
- Experience working with databases in Azure or AWS.
