Company Description Theatre Of Hearts is a 501(c)3 nonprofit community-based organization dedicated to promoting understanding through cultural and artistic forums. Our mission is to empower local communities by providing arts education. The "Youth First" Artist-In-Residence Program aims to prevent youth violence by engaging underserved youth, ages 4-28, in multidisciplinary fine arts workshops across various locations in LA County. Since 1992, the program has offered over 202,500 young participants a safe environment for self-expression and academic advancement, all free of charge. These programs adhere to Californias VAPA Content Standards and Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts. Role Overview
Were seeking a dynamic, detail-oriented Program/Social Media Assistant Coordinator (Intern) to join our team in Los Angeles. This hybrid role blends arts administration, program coordination, and digital marketing , offering a unique opportunity for those passionate about arts education and nonprofit work. As a key support to the Program Coordinators and Executive Director, youll be involved in program planning, artist coordination, administrative support, and maintaining our social media presence . This is an ideal opportunity for a self-starter interested in a career in arts education and nonprofit administration . Key Responsibilities
Program Administration & Coordination Support the design and implementation of arts education residencies with Artist-Mentors and partner sites Confirm timelines and coordinate schedules for workshops, performances, and meetings Conduct program site visits, document events, and take photos for archival and promotional use Assist in grant reporting and data entry for program evaluations and assessments Maintain program records, artist files, and the master office calendar Process artist invoices and track deliverables Help plan and execute organization events and represent the organization at arts events Social Media & Marketing Maintain a consistent and engaging presence on Instagram and TikTok Assist in planning and creating digital content (photos, videos, stories) to highlight program impact Support digital campaigns and email outreach (e.g., via Constant Contact) Collaborate on storytelling strategies that elevate our mission and connect with the community Qualifications
Strong writing, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities with attention to detail Proficiency in social media platforms and content creation tools (Instagram, TikTok, Canva) MAC OS and MS Office proficiency Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and insurance Bilingual skills are a plus Familiarity with Adobe Suite, FileMaker Pro, or Constant Contact is a bonus What Youll Gain
