Under general supervision, this position is responsible for the general and preventative maintenance of Credit Union facilities. Principal Accountabilities (95%): Assist with ensuring the proper operation of all Credit Union facilities through timely completion of assigned maintenance tasks, to include building interior and exterior areas. Assess and make recommendations to AVP, Administrative Services as it relates to maintenance and repair needs, including obtaining proposals and bids from qualified vendors and suppliers. Assist VP, Administrative Services with all applicable regulatory compliance requirements, City, State and Federal codes, including but not limited to Fire, Life & Safety codes and OSHA regulations. Participate and contribute to project meetings related to construction, space planning and branch renovations. Conduct daily walk-throughs and weekly inspections to identify safety concerns and issues. Responsible for all tasks relating to facilities equipment repair, regular maintenance, testing, adjustments, and calibration of, but not limited to the following systems: HVAC cooling towers, condensers, boilers, HVAC controls, building lighting systems, generator and ATS equipment, backflow equipment, Fire, Life & Safety equipment, UPS equipment, and BMS systems. Perform general carpentry maintenance to include but not limited to painting, roofing repairs, drywall repairs, etc. Perform general electrical maintenance and repairs to include low voltage wiring, lighting ballasts, and emergency ballasts. Perform general plumbing maintenance and repairs. Perform general locksmith maintenance and repairs. Procure repair parts, materials, tools and equipment. Oversee and inspect the work performed by outside vendors/contractors i.e., landscaping, renovation projects, electrical, construction, HVAC, plumbing and cleaning. Document work by using assigned logs and methods; provide maintenance data to manager to assist with overall facilities management. Responsible for all Facilities Ticket assignments. Perform on-call duties as assigned; work may include extended hours. Respond quickly to emergency situations. Assist with special events, including but not limited to car sales, corporate meetings, group functions, both on and off Credit Union premises. Secondary Accountabilities (5%): Perform other duties as assigned. Member of Disaster Recovery Team. Responsible for the safety of those who are affected by your work performed. This includes ensuring safety training and compliance is up to date and following all City, State, and Federal safety policies and procedures. Comply with BSA requirements as commensurate with position. Position Requirement and Qualifications: Abilities: Excellent abilities in the following: problem-solving, organization, time-management, detail-orientation, communication, customer service, documentation, and operation of hand tools and appropriate equipment. Must be able to drive a motorized vehicle/auto or equivalent. Knowledge, Education, Certifications, Licenses: Extensive working knowledge of building systems, repairs and maintenance to include internal and external components that affect the operational functions of the Credit Union's buildings and facilities. General knowledge of safety regulations and rules; and, credit union policies relating to assigned tasks. High School diploma or equivalent. Valid driver's license required. Must be able to pass background check to comply with access to military facilities and branch locations. Experience: Four years of facilities maintenance and repairs in the capacity of a facility or maintenance technician to gain the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities in a comparable environment or equivalent required. Building Engineer Certification or equivalent preferred. Working Conditions and Physical Demands: Work is performed indoor and outdoor. While performing the duties of the job, incumbent is regularly required to stand; walk; use hand and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and is frequently required to climb or balance; stoop; kneel; crouch; crawl; and is frequently required to lift up to 100 lbs.
