Preparations are underway for the upcoming harvest. We are seeking a winemaking intern.
The EnRoute, Post & Beam Winemaking Intern will be responsible for assisting the winemaking team with day-to-day tasks.
You will be successful in this role while performing these essential responsibilities:
Data EntryALL Entering daily work orders into the system as needed
Compiling custom crush work orders and entering them into our system
Filling work orders and other paperwork in compliance with TTB regulations
Identifying tracking or compliance issues within the system and reporting to winemakers
Vineyards
Assist vineyard team and winemakers in assessing vineyard phenology or identifying possible issues with vineyard or work being performed
Maturity Sampling – collecting sugar/acid data and alerting winemakers when ripeness nears
QA
Being present during crush to ensure protocols are being followed when winemakers are not present
Being present during essential additions to ensure protocols are being followed when winemakers are not present
Working with customer crush management crew to resolve minor issues during crush when winemakers are not present
Assist winemakers in identifying potential problem ferments on a daily basis at all custom crush facilities
Lab Data
Compiling lab data and reporting any outlying data to winemakers
Maintaining lab data spreadsheets
Maintaining lab data in Vintrace

You will be qualified for this role if you meet these requirements:
Degree or coursework in Enology and Viticulture
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Strong computer skills (Microsoft office, Vintrace preferred)
Strong Organizational skills
Strong problem-solving skills
Must be able to speak, read, and write fluently English.
