Finance Manager- Shared Services

As a Finance Manager- Shared Services, you will be responsible for oversight of the Accounts Receivable, Collections, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Application functions. This role interacts with other areas of finance including cash management, credit, corporate accounting, tax, legal, audit, and external partners (banking and insurance). Additionally, this position interfaces with the GM/Sales functions for our wholly owned branches and national accounts segment. This critical position offers exposure and visibility to senior management.
This role is highly collaborative in nature, requiring excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a certain level of independence.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Establish and maintain service levels that provide excellence for the business, deliver on working capital targets, and minimize bad debt write-offs.
- Act as a trusted partner and fiduciary for the supported businesses.
- Develop strategy to deliver scale and efficiency in line with the company’s growth trajectory.
- Produce and manage cost center budget to meet annual objectives.
- Create recurring reporting/dashboarding and lead the aggregation of data and commentary.
- Manage a team of collections and cash application personnel.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual close deliverables.
- Identify improvements to current processes and procedures and implement as appropriate.
- Support the enforcement of internal controls and policies and implements standard operating procedures and policies to ensure compliance.
- Lead the integration of newly acquired entities into the Shared Services family.
- Coach and develop team members to build a best in class Shared Services function.
- Other duties as directed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a similar field. MBA is a plus.
- 5+ years of related business experience with increasing responsibilities.
- In-depth understanding of Accounts Receivable processes, systems, and controls.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency, drive, and energy.
- Results oriented with attention to detail and accuracy.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Limited/infrequent travel may be required.
